We logged in many long miles of mountain trails together when we were young, you and I, and Chic and Penny. You were all dog and so full of energy you could go all day.  Age robbed you of your agility but not your heart. You were so gentle with little Dixie when she came along and upset your quite senior days with her constant teasing and silly puppy ways. I should have let you go sooner but saying goodbye was difficult. Hope doggie heaven allows horses cuz it won’t be long till Chic will be joining you. Maybe you two can go for runs in heaven now that your legs no longer hurt.
